be my, be my baby

We had a special arrival this week. On Wednesday Pola, Ciccio's mom, gave birth for the second time to 15 wonderful puppies!!

The camera just couldn't capture all of them at once.

They are adorable..

In the beginning we were feeding them with feeding bottles, but later they went to their mother. Pola was very discomfortable the first day after returning home from the vet. She gave birth by caesarian section, so it wasn't very easy. But as the days passed, she was feeling better and better.

To celebrate the birth of the puppies, on Friday we went for a drink to the trattoria and then for finger food to "48". I love "48". This is an old wagon they have outside.

And on Saturday, we had arranged with our friend Demetra to go to Athens and watch the "Swan Lake" at Badminton Theatre. I was very surprised that Sotiris wanted to see ballet. And also it was a new experience for us both. as we had never watched a ballet live performance.

And this is Demetra at the fuaye of the theater.

At the fuaye they had something like an art excibition. Which was also an alternative theatrical scene for a play after midnight.

The show was fantastic and then we went back to Patras. We arrived at 23:00. Straight to Mr. Burger and to Demetras' house. I don't know how I slept at night after so much food.

Just now I learned from my sister that four of the puppies are dead..they just didn't make it. I hope they are in dog's heaven now. Poor little ones..:(

Just the flu and me

Right now I'm with flu at home. But before this I had something like a boring weekend, because it was raining and raining and raining and I was watching the rain through my windows.

If I wasn't on the sofa watching movies, maybe I was sleeping. But all the other days I did some things. Like painting some of my hair blue? hahaha. Now I'm a semi-blue-haired girl. Well yes, I went to a salon and I had a haircut and also had some blue flashes on my hair.

I had never died my hair before and I really felt like burning my brain in this machine. I thought it took me ages to finish this extra ordinary look. Anyway, I like my new hair and Sotiris loves them also.

 

I went at this salon with my workmate Irene. We do many things together except working. So, after leaving the salon, we went a downtown walk. There was a brand new women's clothes shop opening, so they had balloons outside.

Then I went home and Sotiris didn't understand the hair colour difference. But anyways..I showed him:)

One of these days, I found a strange visitor on our cleaner..

Maybe he is cleaning something. Who knows? Also when I went a walk with Ciccio, I found this ant house.

I love ants. Sometimes I help them move faster and some other times I feed them with sugar. And some other times I do something very strange: I look at them for hours and hours. I can say they are my best pets after Ciccio. Let's say you didn't read this.

One of these days, I visited my grandma. These are the elevator buttons you have to use to go at her appartment. She lives on the sixth floor nearly for 25 years now and these buttons have not changed ever since. Very retro.

What else? Yesterday we made with Sotiris an omelet. With mushrooms, green peppers, onion and of course eggs! Very nice.

And now I'm with my PJs and my pink shocks waiting for Sotiris to come home from work..because I feel very cold and I'm only together with my flu.

I hope he gets a lacta for me. He did last time..

Because he is the sweetest husband in the whole world..?

raining pleasure

I must admit that I really enjoyed all this rain during the weekend. We had some moments with sun, but in general the whole weekend was very wettie. Saturday morning begun with a hot cup of Greek/Turkish coffee (you name it) which by the way smells perfect, 

 a toast and..

..cinammon bisquits!!!

And all these with the company of Ciccio:)

In the evening, we couldn't do anything more than playing scrabble and then watching a film.

And I made also a homemade pizza with lots and lots of cheese and jamon on top of it. But the jamon was very extra salty I must say. So, not such a good idea.

On Sunday we had a little of sunshine, but everything was wet.

Later I went for a coffee down at the centre. Sotiris was working so he couldn't come with me. I went to Zuchero which I believe serves the best cappuccino in town and I met after many months my friend Costas who is a musician.

I had to see him for such a long time..

On the road to my grandma's home, there were garbage in every corner. I think the garbage men are on strike.

At my grandma's we had lunch and we took some crazy photos with my sister Maria. We also watched 3 episodes of Jamie Oliver.

Then it went cloudy and started raining again. And I was only wearing a T-shirt and my hot pair of shorts. And I was freezing, so I decided to go home and stay in wearing my pjs.

Monday was not a good day. I went home again with a terrible headache and I didn't do anything except staying at the couch suffering. And I missed again my zumba class:(

On Tuesday my head was OK. Thank God! Me and my mom went to a friend's house after work, which was very close to the sea. The sea was fantastic and the sunset amazing.

We found a dog step in the sand.

...and at last it's Friday!! I'm in love.

It's Friday!! One more day at work and I would go "BOOM"!! The past two days I had too many headaches and a very bad mood. So I'm glad the working week is finally over and I will have two days off to rest. Despite my bad mood, I went on Wednesday to the gym and then came back home to find Sotiris watching Jack White with his new band.

Then I don't know what happened, but I had a strange desire to eat fried eggs! and I did! yummy yummy. I had so much time to eat this food..

Next morning I noticed that my small plants had grown up!! Yeeessss!!

I went a walk with Ciccio, who had tons of energy that morning, instead of me.

 

And then after our long walk I had a breakfast with a pear and a slice of bread with butter and honey. This person is not me! I would never..ever.. eat a pear in the early morning! Something is happening to me..

So, ok with the breakfast, but time to go to work..and at that time the road was very busy, so I got a little late at the office:/

In the evening we went with our friend Yannis to the theatre "act" which is a small theatre in the centre and we watched "the upside down kiss". One of the actors was an old friend from school and I really liked the show.

And then, back home. But on our way we bought a specialite for later which is called "rizogalo" and it's a sweet vanilla cream with rice and on top of it cinammon. Niiiiice.

Tonight as I was leaving work my colleagues George and Athena said me goodnight with a small concerto.

I don't care if Monday's blue Tuesday's gray and Wednesday too

Time to time it's nice to have some variety. That's not good sometimes, but if today was the same with yesterday and tommorow, life would be boring. Wouldn't it?

This Monday started a little bit later than normal for me. My alarm clock rang at 07:30 as normal, but for some reason I woke up at 08:15. Which is some kind of difference when you have to be at work at 09:00. But this monday was different..so I woke up from the messy bed..

Quickly, I wore whatever I found in front of me, I think a T-shirt and a pair of jeans with my nike. I washed my face, did make up and went Ciccio for a quick walk. Then I got into the car and I thought to call my colleague Irene who maybe needed help. She did need help, so I bought two cappuccino on the road and I went to the bank where she was. We did some work there and then straight at the office.

After leaving the office, the road had a lot of strange traffic.

My Monday evening was great! I went to the gym for two hours. One hour I had aerobic-power yoga and the other hour (this is the best part) I had Zumba for the first time. Not to tell you that I left my feet at the gym. It was extremely latin and extremely quick! But I felt completely in love with it!!

After coming home so so so excited, I noticed that my T-shirt was like that.

And then I had a nice relaxing shower.

And suddenly I decided to colour my nails. Tomatoe RED.

When I colour my nails, I colour everything. By everything, I mean I colour all the area of the skin that surounds each nail. And we laugh a lot with Sotiris about it. But after one day the extra colour is gone, so no problem!

The next day which was Tuesday and at the same time my beloved grandmas' birthday, we had a birthday cake to take care of. She just became 73, but she is adorable and a great cook!!

And my brother Ben ate it all..

Also she made me a cappuccino from the new cappuccino machine:)

And..on Wednesday, everything was gray...gray..gray.. I didn't want to go to work and by the time I went everything went gray..gray..gray..but I will go to the gym soon, so maybe it becomes red..red..red? Like this nice flower in my garden?
